Graduation Cap Decoration Guidelines

To ensure the Graduation Ceremony feels both special and unified, below are some friendly reminders about what students are allowed to wear at graduation:

Celebration Tradition with Flair:

  • The Classic Cap and Gown: Keeping gowns traditional and unaltered helps create a wonderful sense of togetherness as we celebrate this important milestone. We're excited to see your creativity shine through your decorated caps, just remember to get those designs approved by Administration beforehand! You can find all the cap decoration guidelines in the senior newsletter or below.

Accentuate Achievements:

  • Tassels: Only official MHS Class of 2026 tassels
  • Cords of Distinction: Honor cords are given by MHS to recognize seniors’ hard work in academics and honor affiliations. Only cords given by MHS are allowed to be worn at graduation.
  • Honor Stoles: Valedictorians and Salutatorians are distinguished by official stoles provided by MHS. These are the only stoles or sashes allowed at graduation.
  • Medallions: School-approved medallions will celebrate notable academic achievements.

Keep the Focus on Unity and Pride:

To ensure a cohesive and celebratory atmosphere for all graduates, we kindly as that only the officially approved regalia be worn during the ceremony. This allows us to collectively celebrate the achievements of the entire Class of 2026.

Ensure a Smooth and Joyful Celebration:

Our dedicated Commencement Committee, along with event staff and Administration, will be on hand to ensure these guidelines are followed. Your cooperation helps make this day go smoothly for all!
